unofficially 80's

today i decided since my 80's party was cancelled, i'd do it anyhow and see if i could give my boss a heart attack. i'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but everything i'm wearing (minus erik's shirt) i've worn to work before. what i'm learning is that having my hair like this is giving me a headache.

i'd like to thank charlie for the use of these awesome earrings which really pull the whole outfit together. and the creepy carpenter for informing me that you really enjoyed the 80's. i will never be doing this again.

seriously. run already.

he didn't start walking until he was 10. now, at 101 years old, he's decided to quit running marathons after 12 years. that's right. he started running marathons when he turned 89 years old. what's your excuse?

gaaahhhhh!!

i just realized...
a) another snow storm is coming. after the snow we got over the weekend (which consisted of two snowmen [frenchie and professor tutt] and a snowball fight where i got slaughtered by my mom...), i woke up to snow on my car again today and the possibility of not leaving the house tomorrow. we're closing in here people. pretty soon we'll have to slide to work...
b) that being said, there is no room on the roads for people. no ability to go out without being taken out by a plow. no possibility to go outside without slipping and falling on your face. and,
c) i have a race coming up in two months.

i better fall in love with a treadmill very soon.

HAIR!

i'm pretty impressed with my hair style today.
a) because i'm going to an 80's party tonight and the goal was to find an acceptable way to wear my hair in braids so i could rock out the crimp'd look
b) because i actually got up early in order to do my hair
c) because it actually looks kinda cute

   
  
i feel like all these pictures look basically the same. what i was trying to show is that i braided it all around my head and then put the top part in a bun. all you really get to see is my awkward faces and bangs. you're welcome. how bout this one?

things i want

i really want this sweater. i have for a long, long time. that makes it acceptable to purchase, right?
having an unemployed husband and being on a spending break probably means no. that being said, anyone who would love to buy me presents, i will accept.
oh urban outfitters please sale me this in my size.




that being said i did bit the bullet and purchase something i've a) been wanting for a long time and b) have been not purchasing for no reason other than it seems superfluous. then again, i thought that of my black booties and i can't seem to get them off my feet... so in a few weeks, i will be the proud owner of a ...

 
TULLE SKIRT!  i can only hope the color is not as awkward as it looked in one of the pictures. i tend to suffer from awkward coloristis. it's awful.

i promise that if i ever get that sweater i will not wear it with my skirt. unless it looks awesome.
